First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Silver Buffalo.
Production
Really liked the interview experience. They seemed focused on understanding my background overall and finding a good company fit. Everyone was pleasant, and it felt like a genuine conversation rather than just data-driven questions like you'd get at a tech company.
- Can you describe your professional background?
Operations
I had an interview with the director for an operations role. It was a pretty basic behavioral interview with one round. They asked about my experience at school, what I do on my free time, and why I wanted the opportunity. The interview wasn't too stressful or difficult.
- Can you share an instance where you worked with large datasets?
- Could you describe your experiences during your time at school?
- What activities do you engage in during your free time?
Product Development
The first interview with the team was great; they were really supportive and knew their stuff. However, the second interview with the CEO didn't go well. I've never encountered an interviewer who pushed to know about an employee's personal life outside of work. This raises serious concerns about boundaries and work-life balance.
- What makes you want this job?
- What are your career aspirations?
- What are your salary expectations?
Sales Assistant
The interview took about 45 minutes and involved three interviewers. They started by describing the job and its benefits. Each interviewer shared their roles within the company and discussed the opportunities for rapid promotion. Following this introduction, I discussed my previous experience.
- Are you proficient with computers?
