First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Silhouette America.
Sales and Marketing
I did great in the first interview. In the second interview, the CEO was present. The CEO has a bias in the type of people they hire, only hiring white and Japanese individuals. I did not fit the image they wanted, despite my qualifications. I would not recommend applying here unless you are white or Japanese.
- Could you tell me about your previous experience?
Marketing Coordinator
The interview was okay. There were several people present during the interview. Some of the information they shared felt out of place and odd to be discussing. It didn't seem like a super welcoming environment from what I could tell, but it was fine.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What makes you want to join our company?
- Have you worked in the crafting industry before?
Sales Director
I had previously worked with the owner at another jointly owned company where I was the CEO and president for 8 years. My responsibilities included extensive travel to Europe and the Middle East for trade show exhibitions, and I also hired salesmen and distributors in multiple countries.
- How would you handle website and sales matters?
Software Engineer
The process started with a recruiter reaching out. The first interview was about an hour long, focusing on the product and my potential contributions to its direction.
