First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sigma Design.
Director of First Impressions
Sigma has a really fun and unique interview process! First, you meet with a recruiter to see if you're a good cultural fit and if your work experience aligns. If you pass that, you'll have 4 interviews back-to-back covering 4 different topics. After that, the interviewers meet to make a decision. It's a fast process, so you won't be left wondering about the job offer for long.
- What aspects of your previous role did you find most enjoyable?
Lab Technician
I talked to 4 people from different teams, and each person asked about something different related to the job or just working here in general. I liked that I got to talk to a lot of people, and it helped me understand the company and the folks I'd be working with better.
- What is your process for acquiring a new skill?
Engineering Manager
It starts with a call from a recruiter, followed by a technical phone interview. Then there's a pre-Covid style in-person interview with five people, where each person assesses one of the company's Core Values. After that, the team decides whether to extend an offer. They only interview one candidate at a time for the in-person stage; if one is scheduled, others are either rejected or put on hold.
- Can you share an example that shows your curiosity and confidence?
Contract Worker
It was a pretty straightforward process. I got contacted for an interview soon after applying and we set up a time for an in-person interview. I showed up on time, checked in at the front desk and they met me right away.
- Can you tell me about your experience working in a fast-paced, project-based setting?
