First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sierra Nevada Corporation.
Mechanical Engineer Intern
Had one panel interview that lasted about 30-40 minutes with the manager and two other team members. Mostly they just went over my CV and the position details. We had a lot of back and forth, and overall it was a really well-organized and great interview experience. I heard back the very next day!
- Can you discuss the jobs you've previously held as detailed on your resume?
Mechanical Design Engineer
I connected with the recruiter on LinkedIn after meeting at a career fair. We talked about my skills and what I was looking for career-wise, and he pointed me to a specific job to apply for. A couple weeks after applying, I got an interview with my potential manager and some team members. It was about an hour long and included a tour of the place. About a week after that, they called me with an offer, and we talked about and agreed on a salary. A few days after I said yes verbally, I got the official offer letter.
- Tell me about the biggest professional setback you've experienced up to this point in your career.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
It was a long process with a lot of HR calls to get an interview set up. In the end, the HR team wasn't very organized and the hiring manager was never available. The whole thing took months and I lost interest in working for the company.
- What salary range do you expect?
