First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sierra.
Associate
It was a pretty straightforward process. They asked the standard interview questions like introducing yourself, discussing your strengths and weaknesses, your customer service skills, how you manage under pressure, and your motivation for joining the company. The interviewers were very professional and provided a lot of useful information, giving a clear understanding of what to expect.
- Can you describe a difficult situation you encountered at work and how you dealt with it?
Sales Associate
it was easy. easy questions, easy interview. a little too easy to get a job here, because it's retail. they ask for your resume, and ask you about previous experience, etc.
- What unique value do you offer?
- Can you describe your past work experiences?
Email Marketing Associate
I had a phone interview with two managers. They asked standard questions and then some personal ones. The second interview was also by phone, with more interviewers. They asked a lot of the same questions. The whole process moved fast and they kept me informed. I had to complete an editing test. After that, they never got back to me. I followed up multiple times over several months, but they ignored me and then relisted the job. I understand I might not have been the right fit, but it was really rude to just ghost me. I just wanted a simple email saying they chose someone else, but I heard nothing. It's been 4 months with no response, not even a generic one. If you apply, be prepared to be ignored if you're not selected. Very unprofessional.
- What area does your current manager think you should improve?
Store Manager
First, a phone screen with the recruiter where they asked basic background questions about sales volume of previous stores, team size, and promotional strategies. They also went over role specifics and company culture/focuses. This was followed by a teams interview with the District Manager (DM), which included a brief overview of their background and questions around volume, leading through the grey, developing leaders, and coaching performance.
- Can you share an instance where you had to navigate a situation with unclear directions or expectations?
