Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sierra Club.
Intern
I had 2 interviews, about a week apart. The first was a phone screen with HR, and the second was in person with the hiring manager. The interviews were of average difficulty. I didn't get an offer.
- Could you describe your previous work experience?
Intern
The interview was a pretty typical behavioral interview. The person interviewing me seemed a bit distant and I wasn't sure if they liked me until they offered me the job.
- Can you tell me why you chose your major?
- What are you hoping to gain from this internship position?
- What are your future career aspirations?
Intern
It was a two-interview process. The first was a 20-minute phone interview with my direct supervisor. The second was another 20-minute video interview with my direct supervisor and a colleague. They spent a good amount of time describing the position in both. The whole thing took about three weeks, they move pretty slow.
- Could you explain why social equity is important to you?
- What specifically about this position interests you?
