First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sienna Senior Living.
Dietary Aide
The interview was pretty straightforward, though the interviewer was a bit late. They went straight into the questions. It ended up being longer than I thought it would be. All the questions were answerable, and surprisingly, there weren't any technical questions related to the job.
- Tell me about a time you had to resolve issues with coworkers. How did you handle it?
Sales Advisor
I had a good interview with their HR rep. She passed me to an in person interview, and then nothing. I didn't hear back. I reached out to HR three times and they ghosted me, and so did the person I interviewed with. I'll keep calling out companies that ghost candidates because it's unprofessional. I hope they learn to act with more decency. Even a standard rejection email is better than leaving candidates in the dark.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with this company?
Marketing Manager
Applied online and HR recruiter got back within days. They were friendly and talked about the company and opportunities. They set up an in-person interview with the hiring manager. After the interview, they said they would connect and update me, but never did. I followed up via email, still no reply. Not even an automated email saying I was screened out, even though the job is listed again. The hiring person said "we'll talk soon" with no plans, and the HR recruiter was proactive until it wasn't convenient. It shows the company culture. If the hiring manager has no plans for next steps, they should not say anything to create false expectations. This is an employer's market, but this is wrong.
- What technical tools would you utilize for this process?
Resident Relations Coordinator
There were 2 interviews, each lasting about 30 minutes. They were all scenario and experience-based questions, like asking how I would handle a certain situation. It felt very comfortable but thorough. I met with the ED and someone from head office. It was formal. Since I was internal, my experience might be different from an external candidate's. I've interviewed others for my role before, and we use a custom interview script for each position.
- How would you approach a given scenario?
