This was a deep and long interview process. It definitely required creativity to answer some questions, and a lot of confidence. They asked about personal psychology and technical questions. They like to be very sure about who they hire and why they hire them.

So I had this virtual interview, it was about 30 mins long with the hiring manager. They asked me stuff about my background, why I'm interested in this job, and about my projects since I'm a recent grad and don't have much work experience.

The interview process kicks off with an aptitude test, around 20 questions that are pretty straightforward and need to be finished in 20 minutes. If you're aiming for the developer intern role, you'll also face a simple 20-question test on either C++ or Java. Next up is a technical interview, typically with the managers and team leaders of the relevant department. This round can go on for about two and a half hours. It's worth noting that many of the interviewers are Mechanical Engineers themselves, and a good chunk of the team, including many NX developers, come from a Mechanical Engineering background. This interview is quite extensive and covers topics like NX (Unigraphics basics, but you really need a solid grasp), GD&T, fundamental Mechanical Engineering concepts, basic C or C++ programming problems such as factorization and recursion, and some classic puzzles. They also heavily emphasize preparing based on what you've detailed in your resume. The interviews can be quite challenging depending on the specific manager you get; some are known to be really tough. Make sure you've thoroughly read and understood the job profile, as they go into a lot of detail about it in the interview invitation. Finally, there's the HR interview, which isn't too tough. Just be ready for some standard HR questions and perhaps some queries about the PLM industry. This usually takes about an hour. They tend to call a few candidates daily for several weeks, and given the niche nature of the profile, they might shortlist one or two people after these initial rounds, who then proceed to the HR round.
