It was not hard at all, just show that you are willing to learn and have a positive attitude, and you will be fine. Showing enthusiasm is a big part of it, so watch your tone!

I talked with two people over zoom for this interview. It was pretty laid back and not super stressful. They asked me why I applied, then we talked about skills I have that are relevant to the role. They also asked if I'd be willing to learn any technical skills I don't already have.

I applied to Shoreline a while back. The whole hiring thing was kinda chill and nice, but super messy, which was weird for a state job, even though I'm used to hiring committees being a bit chaotic from my time at Edmonds CC and UW. The interview had easy, general questions, and we chatted a lot. I felt good about it, but then talking to the committee, I realized I wasn't the best fit, so I wasn't too worried about getting the job, and honestly, I didn't even really want it anymore. They didn't answer my questions clearly at the end. The worst part was that HR never told me I didn't get it, even after I followed up twice. I ended up declining another interview with them and took a job elsewhere. It was a bummer. My advice is just to prep for the common questions you find online when you search for interview questions. That's all they asked.

There were 2 interviews in total. The first one was with the hiring committee. If you passed that, the second round had two parts: an open forum to meet with the advising team and other college employees, and then a meeting with another group of employees.
