The interview process was very smooth and well-organized. The interviewers were knowledgeable. The first round was a product design question with a peer. Then there was a life story question with the recruiter. After that, a coffee chat with the manager. Finally, a craft interview with the product director.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

I went through three rounds in about two weeks. First up was a quick chat with a recruiter about my background and if I was into Shopify’s mission. Then, I had a panel interview with two product managers where we talked about product strategy, working with others, and understanding users. The last round had me talking with a design lead and an engineering lead, and also a senior manager about leadership and if I’d fit in with the company culture. Each round mixed open-ended product questions with talking about stuff I’d done that led to good product results.

Behavioral Case

I had a phone screen with the recruiter who shared a lot of useful info about the process. After that, I went through two 45-minute interviews. The first was a 'Life Story' interview, and the second was a mini product/design case. I think I did really well in both, and the interviewers seemed really into it. However, it's been three weeks and I haven't heard back, even after I emailed the recruiter. I'm a bit bummed because I felt the interviews went great and I could totally see myself at Shopify, but I have other offers and will assume this one didn't work out.
