First up was a video call with a recruiter. It was a nice, pretty standard chat about my previous work. Then, I had a second chat with another Support Manager. We went over what the job entails and my prior experiences. Both interviewers were curious about my AI experience and how I incorporate it into my current job.

The job was about managing the internship program and helping with retention issues. I was interviewed by the HR intern, who might have been doing this for the first time. It felt like I was a test subject, with high hopes initially, but then a very fast rejection without much feedback.

I got through the first interview which was on Google Hangouts. It was a really nice chat, I felt comfortable and didn't feel any pressure. The recruiter was great too. Then came the second interview, which they called 'My Life Story'. It was super chill and easy, no difficult HR stuff, just talking about my past work and personal experiences, which I actually enjoyed sharing. By the end, they said I'd hear back in a few days and that they needed to check the Lead's schedule for the next interview, which is usually a phone call. But since the Lead was in town, they suggested maybe it would be at the office this time. I felt relieved because that sounded like a definite third interview! But then... nothing. Total silence. It would have been nice to at least get a rejection message.
