Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shiseido.
Manager
The interview process was okay. I spoke with the recruiter and the hiring manager. I didn't expect an offer since I could already gauge the company culture, but it was still rude not to get a reply after three weeks. The hiring manager was nice. Be careful of the recruiter, they take advantage of people who are desperate. They cap raises at 15%, even if your request is reasonable. They say things like 'this is normal in the market,' but they don't realize other companies are offering more.
- Could you share some information about yourself?
Senior Manager
First, I spoke with a recruiter to learn about the job, what the role entails, and the company culture. Then, I met with the hiring manager and some team leads. Everyone was really nice. I got the offer about three weeks after starting the process. It was a really smooth and respectful experience.
- In what ways does your previous work experience align with the requirements of this position?
Assistant Manager
The recruitment process is quick and easy for interns/apprentices, no case studies. Video interview went very smoothly, you have time to see if there is a fit or not, it lasted 1.5 hours. I was hired the same day.
- How do you manage stress?
- What do your friends say about you?
