First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shirley Parsons.
Data Scientist
The interview process involved a logic coding HR interview and a technology interview, where I demonstrated my software development skills for a dynamic, product-focused company. I'm results-driven, positive, and good at time management, fitting well in fast-paced settings. My aim is to contribute significantly to growing services that boost business. I'm skilled in Java, HTML, CSS, have intermediate SQL, and know C, Python, and C++.
- Can you search for women while driving in 6?
Recruiter
It was during covid, but they really made an effort to have me meet everyone in the company because it's so small. They seemed to really care about finding someone with a good personality to hang out with.
- What would you steal if you could steal anything?
Talent Consultant
Had an initial video chat with HR and then they set me up with an in-person panel interview. It was nice 'cause they started with some quick icebreaker questions. Then I met different members of their LA team across a few different stages. They asked a lot of really interesting questions that made me think, and I got to ask them a bunch too. Finally, I met with the Director to finish everything up. It was a good interview process and I could really tell if I'd be a good fit for the team.
- What company do you consider successful and what is your reasoning?
Recruiter
The interview process was honestly very fun! They start with ice breaker questions, most of them are funny and it really helped me feel comfortable moving forward in the interview. Then they do a recruitment activity, which I thought helped me understand the job better. The end it with a more formal interview. The onsite is a bit long, but you get to meet the whole team and its pretty fun for an interview.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in recruiting?
