Software Engineer
It was a pretty standard interview process with 2 coding interviews, 1 system design, 1 product, and 1 management interview. Everything was well organized. I met some people I think I would have enjoyed working with, but I'm not sure they were on the same page about what they were looking for in this role.
- How would you organize tracking data across various parameters?
Software Engineer
I applied online and then got an email with a programming assessment. I had 7 days to complete it. The assessment was in Java and tested my OOP skills. It wasn't too difficult. They also asked some questions via email.
- A programming assessment designed to evaluate your object-oriented programming abilities.
Software Engineer
So, the interview process involved a coding challenge first, then a phone interview, and finally an onsite. The HR part was fast, but there was some confusion because they first rejected my application, then later rescheduled me to continue with the process. The onsite interview was the main challenge for me. Not necessarily due to difficulty, but the first interviewer seemed really disengaged and uninterested. They explained the problem statement incorrectly three times, and each time I tried to understand it again and rework my approach, they would agree with my understanding of the problem, then stop me halfway through rewriting my algorithm to say I was doing it wrong. This really threw me off and I ran out of time by the end. The interviewers after that were better, but I think my fate was already sealed by then.
- Do you have experience with algorithmic questions?
- Can you solve some Tree/Data Structures problems?
- Tell me about your experience with System Design.
