Implementation Lead
I had an interview at the corporate office with the VP and CEO, and then with two SVPs. When I arrived at the office, they were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. Everyone was incredibly nice, outgoing, and warm, which made me really want to join the company. The questions they asked were great, and there were no attempts to trick me or play games. They asked genuinely smart questions about my experience, what I've contributed, and challenges I've faced. If I had to describe an enjoyable interview, this was definitely it.
- Given my background, can you estimate a timeline for completing job X without specific details?
- What would be required to shorten the estimated timeline for job X?
Analyst
I got a call from the hiring team. They did a pre-screen with some basic questions. Then they set up an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager then referred me to upper management. After the interview with upper management was done, HR asked some final questions, we negotiated salary and benefits, and I got an offer within a few days.
- What would you do if your colleagues and management disagree with you on a work-related subject?
Senior Software Engineer
Initially, I had a phone screen. A few days later, I got an invite for an in-person interview. I spoke with the hiring manager, product manager, and chief architect. It was very technical, with some problem-solving questions. Then, there was another phone screen with the VP. After that, I had an in-person interview with the same VP and the CEO/Owner before they made an offer.
- Can you tell me about the best sorting algorithm?
Design Engineer
It really sucked. They called me in, then wasted my time. We negotiated a salary, and I got an email saying they were working on regrouping a team and would get back to me. I lost interest and went after other consulting gigs.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
