Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shimano.
Engineer
It started with an open-book test where I could search online, focusing on university mechanics topics. Then, I had a standard interview with HR and engineers.
- Could you discuss a project from your resume?
Engineer
There was a technical test before the interview that tested engineering fundamentals and numerical skills/knowledge related to the job. I didn't continue with the interview because the technical test was too long.
- Technical test prior to interview
Engineer
The interview process was good. The interviewers knew their stuff and talked about the company culture. The questions were on point and doable. They gave me some case studies and knowledge-testing questions. The company seems like a nice, friendly place to work.
- Tell me about a challenge you encountered during a university project.
