Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shift Digital.
Digital Consultant
The interview process was quite long, involving many people. Unfortunately, I wasn't selected and received a rather impolite rejection after I followed up to find out my status.
- Prepare a PowerPoint and a mock presentation for a hypothetical field scenario.
Digital Consultant
They asked me some normal interview questions, nothing too hard. Mostly situational stuff, like asking about a tough customer experience and how I handled it. Make sure you ask them questions about the job at the end. They don't give you the whole job description online, so you gotta ask for more details about what the job actually is.
- Which do you have more experience with: customer service or Adobe Illustrator?
Digital Consultant
HR emailed me to set up a phone screen. About a week later, I went to their HQ for an interview. The check-in process was a bit awkward as no one greeted me. I met with three different people to see where I'd fit best. It felt a bit cliquey and like they cared a lot about appearance. The interviewers seemed judgmental and stuck to their script, asking how my previous experience was relevant. The role itself wasn't clearly explained by the recruiter, so I was kind of glad I didn't get the job, given the judgmental younger managers and executives.
- In what ways has your previous experience prepared you for this position?
