First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shields Health.
Registered Nurse
I had a phone interview with the recruiter first. Then, I had a Zoom interview with a Director, but it was for a location I didn't even apply to. The Director made it seem like I was a good fit for the Chelmsford location and that I'd get to shadow there. I followed up twice with the recruiter about shadowing, but they ended up going with another candidate. I'm not sure what happened after the Director's interview since they mentioned shadowing, but then I was told I wouldn't get that chance. It's really disappointing not to have that transparency from the interviewer.
- Describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a doctor and explain how you resolved it.
Denial Specialist
I had an initial interview with HR, then an interview with the manager. Both interviews went well. I was told they were going to make a decision within a week. I didn’t hear back and I emailed both the HR representative and the manager. No one got back to me. I was completely ghosted. I expected better from a company such as this.
- Can you share an example of a difficult situation or problem you helped resolve?
Business Analyst
The company was really organized and felt like family, it was a professional interview process. They gave me an excel task that wasn't too hard. The second round was an in-person interview where I got to know the company better.
- They asked about my interest in healthcare and radiology.
- I was given an excel technical assessment during the second round interview.
- I had the opportunity to ask the current analyst questions about the role I would be working in.
Controller
the interview process was very thorough. They make sure to get a understanding of you as a person to ensure that you will fit with the team you will be working with as well as that you will be a good fit for the work that you will be doing on a daily basis. They are very inflexible salary wise.
