The interview process started with a 30-minute phone screening where the recruiter asked for detailed explanations of my resume. This led to a Zoom interview, about an hour long, focused on my MBSE experience. Another similar Zoom interview followed. The final stage was an on-site interview consisting of four one-hour sessions. One was a technical interview similar to the Zoom calls, while others focused on teamwork and values ('how would you handle x situation', 'what values are important to you'). I also had a presentation interview where I presented a solution to a UAV challenge problem, including requirement derivation, diagrams, and a SEMP. The panel seemed critical of quantifiable parameters in requirements, debating whether they were too specific. Despite hints of an offer, I was surprisingly not extended one, possibly due to the presentation debate, though they were trying to find reasons to debate.

A recruiter reached out to me about a Senior Systems Engineer role. The interview started with general questions about my background, education, and work history. Then, it shifted to technical questions. I found it confusing because the technical questions didn't seem to align with the job description's focus on MBSE/modeling & simulation, as they were all about software development instead. I even had to ask the recruiter if we were discussing the correct position because it felt so different from what I applied for.

The process was really fast and straightforward! They really emphasized values and teamwork, and everyone was super nice and friendly. It did take a little more prep than usual, but honestly, if you know the role and what's needed, it wasn't hard at all.
