So there were 4 rounds total, took about 3 weeks. First was a chat with the Hiring manager about the role, some tech stuff, and my resume. Then a 1.5 hour coding test. After that, a technical interview focusing on my resume experience. Finally, the onsite had 4 more interviews: a presentation on a topic I picked, a section on values, one on teamwork, and a technical interview about general state estimation.

Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

The Shield AI interview process took about 4-5 weeks and felt really fair and easy for candidates. A recruiter called me after I applied to talk about the job and what I wanted salary-wise. Then, I had a chill 45-minute chat with the hiring manager about the role, what the team needs, and why I'm looking for a new job. After that, there was a 60-minute technical interview on CoderPad with a problem that didn't have one right answer. They said it was okay to use AI and they mostly wanted to see how I'd figure it out and explain it. The last part was an onsite with four different meetings: a 60-minute presentation about a technical review, a 45-minute technical interview, and two 30-minute chats about company values and how I work with others. The recruiter was super helpful, setting up all the interviews and answering everything. I got an offer two days after the onsite and took it after some negotiation. It was a really thorough and honest interview process.

Coding Technical Presentation Behavioral

The interview process included a coding round, a hiring manager round, and a final onsite round. I invested a significant amount of time preparing a detailed project presentation, which was on top of my full-time 100% onsite job. Despite my extensive prior experience, I wasn't selected. It felt like a complete waste of time and effort, and I strongly advise against spending your time with this company.
