First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SHI International.
Inside Sales Representative
The interview process included a phone screen, a written assignment, and a group interview. It was pretty straightforward and not too tough. They were looking for people with experience and who would be a good culture fit, plus how well they could handle client situations. They hire both recent grads and more experienced folks.
- Describe how you'd manage a client or team issue you weren't directly involved in, and outline your steps to solve it.
Inside Sales Representative
First, I had a basic phone conversation with an internal recruiter. Then, there was an in-person interview with two members of upper management. They asked basic questions like, "explain what SHI does" and "why do you want to be in sales?". I heard there was supposed to be another person to talk to, who I guess would have been my direct hire, but I didn't get selected to move on. It probably would have been easy to get through but I answered some questions horribly and was extremely nervous. I learned a lot from it though.
- What makes you want this particular job?
Inside Sales Representative
It was a standard interview where they asked questions about your experience and your future goals. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. They're looking for people who really want to learn and grow their sales skills and are committed to doing the work needed to be a successful inside sales executive.
- How do you think you would be a good fit for this role?
