Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SHI International.
Accounts Receivable Specialist
It's a two-step interview process. First, there's a call with the friendly talent acquisition team to go over your resume. It's pretty straightforward, you just introduce yourself and talk about how you could fit in with the company. Since most candidates for this job have accounting degrees, it's a good idea to mention what you like about accounting and why you studied it. The second step, happening no more than two weeks after the phone interview, involves meeting with two hiring managers to discuss the role in detail. Make sure to listen to them and ask questions. You'll also chat with the talent acquisition specialist about benefits and salary. If they decide to offer you the job, they'll call you and then send the contract by mail for you to accept. It's a great company overall, with friendly people and a really nice facility (it used to be an AT&T building in Somerset, NJ). The pay might not be the best, but for an entry-level position, the bonuses and benefits make up for it. Good luck!
- How would you assess a company's creditworthiness?
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Great interview overall. We discussed benefits and compensation. The interviewer was down-to-earth and genuine, making it a great company experience. The office building itself is beautiful, and they even provided a tour. They have amenities like a Ping Pong Table and Gym, contributing to an awesome work environment. The company offers three weeks of vacation plus sick time for the first five years, and 21 days after that.
- What is your understanding of the company?
Accounts Payable Specialist
Started by signing in and going to a conference room to meet with two managers. They reviewed my background to see if it was a good fit. Then, they asked about my organizational style and how it would suit the job.
- Can you describe your ideal work environment?
