The interview process was straightforward and they made a quick decision, which was appreciated. I only met with the CFO. We had a good conversion about the role and expectations. I didn’t have to wait long to know where I stood. Received the offer the same day.

The interview process was pretty basic. I first had a chat with an HR coordinator where we talked about my skills, goals, and wants. Then, I did an on-site interview with the head of IT. They didn't ask any technical questions, it was more of a get-to-know-you kind of chat. It was really pleasant. The only real issue was that I interviewed right before COVID lockdown started, and the company went completely silent on me for about 4 months. I had to chase them for an update, which was pretty unacceptable.

It started with a phone call, then we moved to an in-person meeting. I talked with some engineers, the CAD lead, someone from IT, and the HR director. There was a written test covering CAD abbreviations and commands. Then there was a practical test where I had to grade a road. I did well and felt like we really connected. After that, I got a call back about six months later asking if I wanted to talk to one of the main bosses. By then, I had already accepted another position.

The CEO reached out to me directly to gauge my interest. Following that, I had a series of phone interviews with different company leaders. After the phone interviews, I was invited to San Francisco for an in-person meeting with the CEO and other executives. A verbal job offer was extended over the phone, and subsequent discussions about compensation also took place over the phone. Once we reached a verbal agreement, I received the official written offer letter.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The CEO is known for asking unusual questions to assess your problem-solving skills on the spot.
