I did a group interview with all the therapists that are working here right now and also the therapy manager. I got to ask some questions about the job and the manager was there for some of it, and then I also got to ask some questions when it was just me and the therapists.

The first part of the interview, in person with the manager, was fine. But the next round was really uncomfortable. The senior people were not nice and it felt racially tense. I got the vibe they were just going through the motions with diverse people but would hire a white person anyway, like a Wells Fargo thing.

The interview experience was quite relaxed. I spoke with the Director, who shared a lot about the department's history and its current needs. This was followed by a more informal chat where they asked some key questions about my competencies and experience for the role. I also had the chance to meet some of the other staff members.
