I went through three interview panels. The interviewers created a welcoming atmosphere. They were interested in my approach to managing professional staff and my thoughts on professional development initiatives. It felt like a supportive team environment where individual strengths were recognized, and their dedication to student well-being was evident.

I had a phone interview first. The next step was supposed to be a day on campus, but I didn't make it that far. The interviewer was nice and described the position and hiring process in detail. She said I could email her with follow-up questions and looked forward to the next step. However, after hearing more about the job, I wasn't interested anymore, so I didn't follow up and didn't get an offer.

I had a really thorough phone interview with the entire team. It was great how they reached out to candidates to let them know why they weren't selected. The team seemed really positive and happy with their jobs. One interviewer even suggested another position to me! I'm a big fan of this university and would definitely suggest applying.

I started by calling the department head. Then I sent a letter to ask for an interview and state my interest. The department head then rang me for a one-on-one chat, which lasted about 45 minutes. Nothing was available then, but after a few months, I got a call and took the job.
