The interview process included 3 separate Zoom interviews. The first two were with support staff, and the final one was with a shareholder. I was surprised none were in person and it seemed like they only cared if I would show up. It felt really off, so I asked former employees about their experiences. Essentially, you will get zero mentorship, it's trial by fire hose, and you'll be doing things you are not confident in. You work minimum 80 hours/week and are expected to be available 24/7. If you are newer, you don't get good cases and are working with clients who have no cases, so you don't even learn. While the named partner may have great cases due to his name, a lot of the cases are not legitimate, so you also feel awful about yourself. You are required to go in person 5 days a week. No 401k until at least a year after you start, maybe 18 months if you start at the wrong time of year. No medical for 60 days, and it's not great medical. You have to supplement.

The interview was on video. They asked some questions about legal and firm interests. You'll need to talk about your app experience and how you learn new ones. We also talked about how you listen to callers and keep them focused.

I had an interview with the manager and two paralegals. They were not personable at all. They didn't like it if I didn't pick two very binary responses when answering questions, like "do you prefer working by yourself or with a team?". When I said I enjoyed both and gave reasons why, the manager rudely said "NO, you have to pick ONE!". I can see why they have a high turnover rate.

I had a chat with the head of operations and a shareholder. We talked about the firm, some cases, and my background. It was pretty laid back and only took about 20-30 minutes. I got an offer the very next day.
