First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sharp Entertainment.
Casting Production Assistant
I had a phone interview with a Casting Associate, and then a Zoom interview with the Casting Director. The job was advertised as remote, but it became clear during the Zoom call with the CD that they were looking for someone local to NYC. I also felt like my experience wasn't quite good enough for a basic casting PA role that involved a lot of editing.
- Do you know how to use iMovie for editing?
- Are you able to work with two teams, each having 4 people?
Director/Producer
I had a good email conversation with a staffer who was helpful and friendly. They arranged my interview. The manager I spoke with was punctual, polite, and efficient. They were clear about what they expected and realistic about the job. They were also receptive to suggestions and interested in my input.
- Were there any difficult or unexpected questions?
- The only issue was the lack of a receptionist upon arrival, leaving me to figure out where to go.
Executive Assistant
The interview process was a bit disorganized; they had to reschedule multiple times. After the last interview, they said they'd contact me the next day to arrange the next step, but I never heard from them. My follow-up email also went unanswered.
- Can you explain how your past experience is relevant to this position?
