First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sharkey's Cuts for Kids.
Guest Coordinator
The interview was pretty informal, not many questions asked. The job requirements were clear, but it was left very open-ended for the interviewee.
- Can you handle laundry and cleaning duties?
Hair Stylist
This salon just opened 2 weeks before I interviewed. They were super busy so I had 2 kids for a demo. It was great for them to see my skills right away. Then we chatted about my background and what I'm looking for. We also talked about what they're about and the schedule/pay I wanted. They really try to make your schedule work for your life. Both interviewers were chill and nice.
- Tell me about your experience in the hair industry.
Receptionist
Had a group interview with a recruiter from corporate. We answered a few short questions individually. Then, I had a short interview in person with the owner of the regional location. The owner usually asks about your availability and how soon you can start.
- Tell me about a role model in your life.
Hair Stylist
It was nice. Didn't take long, the manager seemed interested and she didn’t ask a lot of questions. Said she would be available any time if I had questions.
- What does my schedule and availability look like?
