It started with a chat with a recruiter to gauge my interest in the company culture, products, work style, and salary expectations. Then, there was a unique technical interview involving pair programming where I was the navigator, working with the interviewer on TDD to solve easy LeetCode-style puzzles. After that, I spoke with the team lead about my problem-solving approach, past projects, and what I look for in a project. The next step was meeting my potential teammates, the product manager, and the team lead for another pair programming session, this time as the driver, focusing on adding a feature to an existing project. Running out of time on that didn't seem to be an issue. I really liked the pair programming format and felt a good connection. The recruiter followed up quickly with an offer and was helpful with my remaining questions.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process was really smooth, thorough, and human-like, right from the start up to the offer stage. Round 1 was a call with the HRVP to check our fit, interests, motivations, and career path. Round 2, the HRVP and HRBP interviewed me to dive deeper into my experiences, achievements, learning, and career goals. Round 3 was a technical interview with the TA Lead focusing on my TA skills. Round 4, I interviewed with 2 stakeholders about the TA challenges they're facing. Meeting smart, caring, and nice people was a major reason I decided to accept the job.

It started with a 30-minute phone HR interview, then moved to a 1-hour technical interview, and finished with a 2.5-hour group interview with the team. The company's communication throughout the process was excellent, making things very smooth. The technical interview was a bit different, it was pair programming where I had to guide the interviewer in completing a task. The team seemed really nice. I'm giving a neutral review because the final offer had a much lower salary than I was hoping for, so I couldn't accept it.

Behavioral Technical

They briefly asked me about my knowledge of source control and project management. Then we discussed design patterns like dependency injection in PHP and the Container/Component pattern in React. The interview was very high level, but I know they've started implementing more technical interviews since I left. But when I applied, that wasn't available.
