Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shapoorji Pallonji.
Civil Engineer
After screening candidates based on their academic records, the company held an on-campus interview process. This involved three steps: an aptitude test, a group discussion, and a personal interview.
- Could you share details about your previous work experience?
Civil Engineer
So after this written test, they shortlisted people for a group discussion and then a personal interview. The topic for the group discussion was pretty easy. After the group discussion, we had the interview. It started off nicely with some general questions about my life and my goals, and then it moved on to the technical stuff. The technical questions were really basic, just to see if I understood the subject.
- Can you explain the mix design for concrete and what corrections are made during the process?
- What corrections are applied in the mix design of concrete?
Civil Engineer
So, the interview process was spread over two days. First, there was an online test which included both aptitude and technical questions. After that, we had a group discussion, which wasn't eliminatory. Finally, there was a personal interview where they asked some technical questions.
- What is the specific weight of steel?
- Can you tell us about your internship experience?
- Could you answer some questions from Theory of Structures and Strength of Materials?
