First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shanghai Wicresoft.
Technical Support Engineer
So for a technical support engineer, there are about 2 to 3 rounds of interviews with people from different teams. The first round is basically an English test, both speaking and writing, and it's tailored to different situations. Then the second round is a more technical interview where they check your soft skills and your hard skills.
- I can't share the exact questions due to company policy, but you need to have broad technical knowledge like TCP/IP, programming language logic, and cloud infrastructure.
IT Support
First, there was an HR round, which was a typical HR interview, but conducted in English. The second round was with a team member, and it was a technical interview. They asked some questions in English. The technical questions covered computer networks and some basic computer science concepts. If you have a CS background, you should be fine.
- Please introduce yourself in English.
- Complete the English writing assessment.
- Tell me about computer networks.
Customer Support Engineer
It was a 3-round process. First was a general HR chat. Then I got an IQ test to complete and send back within 20 minutes. After that, they sent me 5 documents, totaling 13 pages, which I needed to study. The second interview was a technical one based on those documents. The last interview was with my future manager where they asked simple questions about why I chose the company and what my motivations are.
- Tell me about your background.
- What drives you to apply here?
- What are your aspirations for the future?
Language Specialist
After applying online, I got an email for a telephone interview. The phone screen asked about my location in Shanghai, my start date availability, and if I'm a native English speaker. This was followed by an on-site visit for three in-person interviews: one with HR, one with a team member, and one with a team manager. Everyone was nice and asked really standard questions, so it wasn't too tough.
- What skills do you possess that would be beneficial for this position?
