The interview process was spread out over several weeks, with meetings happening on different days. The interviews felt more like conversations than formal question-and-answer sessions. They gave a good look into the company, and everyone I spoke with was really nice. There was one main HR person who set up the meetings with the other team members. While the communication about what would happen next could have been better, the overall process went pretty smoothly.

I had meetings with four people over two hours: the interim Creative Director/Project Manager, the person currently in the role who's leaving the country, another writer from the staff, and someone from HR. I spent about half an hour with each person. They were all friendly, showed interest, and were easy to talk to. It was impressive that they had all been with the company for years and seemed to really enjoy working there.

The interview process was long and they were not very open about the salary range, even though I have a lot of experience and skills. They wouldn't budge on my $5K starting salary request. I mainly talked to the recruiter, and then had one chat with a hiring executive. A second executive decided not to speak with me about the role.
