First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shaker Recruitment Marketing.
Client Services Support Associate
The interview was pretty laid back and they gave me a good overview of the company and its values. It was clear from the start that we were on the same page, and I got a good sense of what it's like to work there.
- What do you hope to get out of this internship?
Digital Media Specialist
I was expecting a much better experience from this recruitment marketing agency, especially since they market themselves as experts. I stuck with it through several weeks of scheduling delays, confusing communication, and multiple interview rounds because I was really interested. It turns out I dodged a bullet when they sent a super generic rejection email without any feedback, just hours after the recruiter had contacted me asking if I was still looking, after ignoring my follow-ups for two weeks. I guess this is how they treat their employees too.
- Could you share some examples of paid media campaigns that performed well and explain how you tracked their success?
- What methods did you use to measure and track the effectiveness of successful paid media campaigns?
Client Consultant
It was a smooth and pretty quick interview process. There were two interviews, and then a few days later, some follow-up steps. They stayed in touch and did what they said they would. The process let me meet several people at the company, which gave me a good feel for the company culture.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What prompted your interest in this position?
- What would you consider your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
Campaign Analyst
Got contacted by an external recruiter, we had a phone chat, and they had me complete a form. They said I did a great job with it, and it looked like I'd be a culture fit. Then I went in for the interview, but the interviewer was really rude. Seemed like they would have been my boss. They checked their phone for texts like 4 times, even though I thought I was doing great in the interview. As I was leaving, the interviewer asked how I got there and made a snide remark about my transportation. The recruiter mentioned they paused the job, and I kept asking for feedback but never got any.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in Shaker?
