Management Trainee
2 rounds of Interview, 1st On-Site and 2nd Virtual. They ask you about: - Are you comfortable for night shift and 11 months of bond. - Why do you want to pursue this field. - What do you know about this job role or what do you understand about this job.
- Why did you choose this field?
Talent Acquisition Trainee
I had applied through the college campus, as for me it was an off-campus drive. The company did a pre-placement talk for about 20-25 minutes, where they explained everything about their work, salary, and the hiring process. There were 4 rounds in total. The first was a Group Discussion, but it was more of a JAM round where each candidate got to speak on a topic chosen by us. Interrupting another candidate led to disqualification. Then, each panel selected 7 candidates for the next stage. The second round was Essay Writing, where we were given 3 topics and asked to write on any 2 within 15-20 minutes. After this, results were announced, and about 20-25 candidates moved forward. The third round was a Personal Interview, conducted by company employees. After the interview, the interviewer would explain the company's operations and the job profile. The final round was an HR Interview, for those who qualified. The HR asked general questions and presented hypothetical situations to gauge our responses. This was the hiring process for SGS Consulting LLC.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Given your technical background, what leads you to a non-technical field?
- Considering your family might have a business, why are you interested in SGS?
Human Resources
So, I got an email from the company saying they were interested in my application and wanted to schedule the first interview. The email was super professional and clear about how to pick a time and what the interview would be like. Then, we had a quick call just to sort out the details. The person was nice and helpful, but it was a short call, mostly about timing, not really about the job itself. The first actual interview was online and started right on time. They introduced themselves and told me what to expect. The questions were good and related to the job, letting me talk about my background. It felt professional but a bit stiff, and I didn't get many chances to ask my own questions until the end. So far, it's all been pretty smooth and by the book, with quick replies and clear info. It wasn't super exciting or personal, but it's been what you'd expect from a regular hiring process.
- Tell me about your experience as it relates to this role.
Software Engineer
I talked to a few people on the phone from India. Then I had an in-person interview in Waukesha, WI at GE Healthcare. The manager asked me about how I would fit in and what I'd do if the work was boring, and also about my skills. After that, five lead people, each from a different area like hardware, software, troubleshooting, documentation, and following directions, asked me a lot of detailed technical questions about the work I've done before.
- Are you okay with doing mundane tasks? Are you okay with things like dirt, blood, or high voltage? Can you follow instructions?
- Do you do design work or write software? What would you do if you were by yourself?
