First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SGA.
IT Graduate Trainee
I applied via an agency called Summit Recruitment. First, I took some cognitive tests and an online interview. If I passed that, I was invited to the main interview, which was pretty straightforward. They then told me the company they were hiring for.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you talk about a project you completed that showcases your abilities?
- Could you walk me through an oral case study and discuss how you would approach it, making sure to cover the software lifecycle?
Manager
Great, I enjoyed the process. It was very professional and difficult. Brush up on behavioral questions. Speak clearly and intelligently. Really market yourself and use words like team, we strategy, goal oriented, driven
- Why are you interested in working for this company
Marketing and PR Specialist
I sent in my application and had to do a creative sample based on their instructions. They emailed me back saying they liked my application and I was invited to answer 6 behavioral questions over email, which took about an hour and a half. After I sent those in, I got invited for a 2-hour interview and a 2-3 hour assignment. I sent the assignment back and then had an intense 2-hour interview with the CEO and another employee where they went through all my past jobs and asked 10-15 in-depth questions for each. They mentioned a decision would be made by the end of the month. I sent a thank you email to both interviewers but got no reply. I followed up with HR a few weeks later and still heard nothing back. I feel it was disrespectful of my time because I invested a lot of effort and deserved feedback and a decision.
- What would your previous manager say about you?
Business Analyst
It was a 3 round process. The first 2 rounds were technical interviews, and the last one was an HR round. The HR round included a personality test to check confidence and interpersonal skills, and also a group discussion (gd) round to assess thought process and convincing skills.
