Behavioral Technical Presentation

Had 3 one-on-one interviews. Then a take-home exercise where you are given data on homes and tenants and asked to analyze it before sharing it with a panel of 4 people. The interviews are rushed, where the interviewer talks super fast and cares little about what you have to say. The exercise is pretty much the same, do not attempt to explain a complicated concept, they won't listen. Do not expect them to respect your time, my interviews were moved 3 times and then my panel was cut short.

Behavioral Presentation

So this was the worst interview experience ever. I first talked to an external recruiter, then an internal HR person. After that, I had an interview with someone in product ops. HR said the interview went so well they wanted to skip the next 1:1 and go straight to the final panel interview. They gave me four prompts for the four different "product ops ninja" roles and asked me to prepare something for a 40-minute discussion on two of them. I could prepare whatever I wanted, like a powerpoint or written docs. I decided to write something up and sent it to the four interviewers the day before. But then, 30 minutes before the interview, HR emailed saying they had to reschedule because someone had an issue come up. It's been four weeks since then and it still hasn't been rescheduled. HR said they'd follow up a few times but never did, and my last email got no response. It's super unprofessional to ask someone to prepare for a case study and then just ghost them.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Choose two topics from the ones provided and create materials for a roughly 40-minute panel discussion (about 20 minutes per topic) using the format you think is best. We know you might not be a renovation expert, so feel free to use whatever level of industry detail you're comfortable with – we're more interested in your thinking process than your specific knowledge. Make and explain any assumptions needed to do a thorough analysis.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I was contacted by a recruiter and then spoke with the Director of the Risk Department and a senior engineer. After those initial conversations, I was given a case study to complete over a week. I then presented this case study to a panel, including the Chief Product Officer. The panel interview was not a positive experience, as the case study was more of a data analysis task than a data engineering one. The panel didn't ask about my case study work but instead asked about a separate business problem. I'm not sure of their process or what they're looking for. My advice is not to spend too much time on the case study, as it might be mostly ignored.

It was a very professional process. They went over the job opportunities and clearly explained the expectations and goals. It took a few calls to get the phone interview. I'm now waiting for the link to upload my final information.
