Customer Success Manager
The hiring process was quite long and frankly frustrating. It took about a month from applying until the second interview after the initial screening call. The team was nice, but the whole thing felt a bit like they were leading me on. After the interview, the hiring manager said the talent team would reach out about the next step, which was supposed to be a case study/presentation. But instead, I got another call with a different manager. Two days later, I got an automated rejection email saying they can't give feedback due to "company policy." I've never had a company refuse feedback like that before. It felt dismissive, like my time and effort didn't matter. After going through several stages, some basic feedback should be expected. Honestly, the whole process felt poorly managed. Looking back, the vibe was a bit off during the interviews, so maybe it's for the best it didn't work out.
- A lot of situational questions about internal collaboration, etc.
Implementation Partner
This was a really bad interview process. A recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn in mid-August and we set up a quick phone screen for late August. There were four rounds total, including that first recruiter call. Round two was a Zoom with the hiring team in early September. Round three was in late September, and the final round was a presentation in late October. The last part involved a 20-min presentation on my past experience with examples and slides, then a 10-min Q&A. They sent an automated rejection email 48 hours later with no feedback. I don't get what they're looking for, maybe someone who doesn't exist. I'd avoid this role. The whole thing felt dishonest and like a humiliation ritual.
- Tell me about a time you showed relentless ambition by taking initiative to solve a problem or create a new opportunity beyond your regular duties.
- Describe a time you dropped the ball with a customer, how you recovered, and what you changed to prevent it from happening again (disciplined execution).
- Share an instance where you dealt with resistance from someone at work and how you influenced them to accept your recommendation (radical candor).
People Operations Manager
I went through 2 rounds of interviews. First, a recruiter call, and then a call with a manager in Global People Ops who is at a peer level. Both were about an hour long and felt pretty good. The peer interview, in particular, gave me a lot of signals that I was a good fit, both skill-wise and culturally. However, two days after that, I was rejected without any explanation. I asked the recruiter for feedback but was told they didn't get any from the hiring team. It's a bummer I won't know why they chose other candidates, I would have liked to know how to improve.
- Can you describe your experience working with global teams?
Customer Success Manager
The recruiters, Jason and Bianca, were great - always communicating and giving feedback on time. It felt very genuine. For improvement, I'd suggest organizing who interviews for what so feedback is more robust, as I felt I answered the same questions multiple times and some conversations felt unprepared. Also, the compensation and title for this role seemed lower than market standards for the expectations. The feedback I received was to give more examples of my people management experience. The best part was how genuine everyone was, and it seems like they hire well. There are some typical startup issues like inter-departmental misalignment, but it appears to be a great place to work.
- Can you start by telling me about yourself?
- What do you consider to be the three most crucial qualities for a Customer Success Manager?
- Describe a situation where you used data to make a decision.
