First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sevan Multi-Site Solutions.
EHS Professional
The interview process started off well. It was a long process of six interviews. As the process went on, communication dwindled. There became longer gaps between updates. I did reach the final round interview, where I was then ghosted. No rejection, nothing. It has been several months since the final round interview. I am fortunate that I had another great offer with a different company. Otherwise, this would’ve been very upsetting. The company should realize the amount of time and effort the interview process takes. Candidates invest preparation time, interview time and follow up. With this, I probably spend upwards of 8 hours dedicated to their process, only to be ghosted.
- Can you explain why you are a suitable candidate for this role?
Project Executive
I had several interviews, both in person and over the phone, with the main people in charge at the company. Each person I talked to asked me tough questions about the business or the clients they were responsible for. They also asked about how much I'd be okay with traveling and if I liked the idea of working from home.
- How does your military background relate to working on projects in different locations?
- Can you explain how your military experience prepares you for multi-site work?
IT Specialist
The first interview was a phone call to get a feel for who I am, the hiring manager, and what they need in an additional team member. After that, I had an in-person interview with several staff members from the department who were all in one room. They asked more questions about customer service, my past technical experience, and my ability to work with others. Then, they moved on to more specific questions where they presented a scenario to see how I'd troubleshoot an issue with someone who isn't tech-savvy, or how I'd communicate if the problem was simple or if I got stuck and didn't know the answer right away.
- What would you do if you couldn't remote into someone's screen when they called for help?
- How would you help that person if they weren't tech-savvy enough to follow your instructions and you couldn't remote to their system?
Construction Superintendent
I had several phone interviews with different leaders at the company, including a PM, SPM, PE, VP, and the SVP. The questions focused on my experience and what I'm knowledgeable about. The whole interview process took about two weeks, and then the on-boarding took another three weeks. I started the job search in mid-September and my first day was at the end of October. It was a long process, but it was totally worth it because this is a great company to work for.
- Considering what we've already discussed about your strengths, what's an area you're looking to develop further?
