First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Seton Hall University.
Financial Systems Analyst
The first interview involved a discussion about the job duties and the work setting. They asked some technical questions and touched upon benefits. Behavioral questions were also part of it. The interview was conducted online and was scheduled for 30 minutes. I'm not sure about the total number of rounds, but they are good at communicating and keeping me informed about the process.
- Can you explain how to present technical information to people who don't have a technical background?
Coordinator
I applied online and a secretary contacted me to set up a Teams interview with two people. But then they ghosted me, which is disrespectful. Don't apply to Seton Hall University, they post jobs but don't hire anyone, it's a waste of time.
- Can you introduce yourself?
Operations Coordinator
So the whole interview thing had 2 rounds. First, there was a zoom call with 2 directors, then the next interview was with the VP & Dean. The first interview was like a Q&A session and then you got to ask questions. The second interview was more of a chat, where we just talked about experiences and went into detail on stuff related to the job.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What drew you to this role?
- Which computer skills/software are you proficient with?
Resident Coordinator
So first there was like one phone interview with the director and assistant director, then the resident director and they asked a few questions. The next round was the final round of interviewing, which was an on campus interview consisting of meeting with the resident director you would be working with, then interviewing with a panel of 7-8 live in professionals, then interviewing with a panel of 4-5 executive professionals in res life.
- Regarding experience with budgeting and student supervision, can you elaborate?
