First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Seterus.
Loan Specialist
It was a simple process, but it took about a month to hear back from the hiring manager. The interview was offsite and mostly standard questions. They didn't mention it was for collections, just loan specialist before. If you dress business casual, seem enthusiastic, and can collect, you'll get promoted fast. Also, once you're in training, doing well means advancing quickly. If not, expect a lower-paying job.
- What are your best qualities and areas for improvement?
- Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer.
- What makes you want to join Seterus?
Compliance Manager
The hiring process took over six months. I applied in March 2017 and my first interview wasn't until three months later. I didn't hear anything until late May, when I was invited to interview at IBM's Charlotte office with the hiring manager and two other people. The interview seemed to go well, but I never received any further communication. I reached out to the hiring manager for a response but never got one. It seemed rude to have me travel from Raleigh to Charlotte for an interview and then receive no follow-up.

Asset Specialist
It was pretty straightforward - a phone chat, then I met the hiring manager. The whole thing took about a month to get the offer. Honestly, the hiring manager and the job ad didn't really capture what the job was actually like. I wasn't told beforehand that I'd be on the phones constantly.
- What makes you the right choice for this position?
Customer Care Executive
The hiring process for this role involves a few stages. It starts with a verbal ability test, followed by an email writing assessment, a self-explanation part, and finally, a meeting with the manager. If you pass the initial stage, the rest is usually smooth sailing without many difficulties.
