It was a technical interview round. The interviewer was very rude and started asking questions without introductions. The questions themselves were unclear at runtime, and the interviewer seemed to be making them up as they went along, indicating a lack of proper knowledge. After I asked for details and answered, the interviewer seemed offended and tried to assert their point without listening. When I finally asked about the work, they rudely replied, 'Didn't you go through the JD? Everything is there,' and consistently tried to put me down.

So, how this whole thing works is you first gotta submit your application, usually through their website. Then, they'll probably give your resume a once-over, and if it looks good, you might get a quick call or an online test to see if you even meet the basics. If that goes well, you'll likely have a first chat, maybe on the phone or video, with a recruiter or the hiring manager. They'll want to know about your past work, what you know, and why you want to work there. Then, there's usually a technical part where they check out your skills more deeply. This might involve more tests or coding challenges.

I applied and got a call for an in-person interview. It was supposed to be 30 minutes with one person, but I ended up staying for 1.5 hours and speaking with three people. A few days later, they emailed to schedule a phone interview for the following week. I tried calling the person I was supposed to speak with, but they were in a meeting and had to reschedule for another week later. I waited and had the call the next week, and the day after that, they asked if I could come in for an in-person meeting with the person I spoke to on the phone within 24 hours. After that meeting, they said a final decision would be made in a few days. A week went by with no word, and I finally got a call saying the position was terminated by corporate and they couldn't hire me. The people were nice, and I get they were busy, but they shouldn't interview people if they're not sure they can hire someone.

I sent my application via mail in November. I got a call in mid-December to set up a screening interview, which was scheduled for a week after the call. On the day of the screening, I got an email in the morning saying it was postponed by another week. During the screening, I was upfront about not having hands-on experience in automation testing, and the interviewer said it was fine since they were still deciding on the automation tool. I also mentioned my A2 level German, and the interviewer thought that was good, noting they recently hired someone from Ukraine who only speaks English. Two days later, I got a call to schedule the face-to-face interview, which was set for January 15th, about a month after the screening. On the day of the face-to-face, I answered all questions well. The interviewer didn't ask any automation or programming questions. After a week, I emailed for feedback, and they asked me to wait another week. The following week, I followed up again and was told they were looking for someone with a strong programming background and I wasn't suitable, and that it wasn't the interviewer's decision. I emailed the person who did my screening to ask more questions, and got an auto-reply saying they no longer work at Serrala and to contact the office directly. I was very disappointed, especially since I traveled from another state for the face-to-face interview. It's confusing when they seem unsure about what they need for the position.
