Behavioral Presentation

It was a very thorough and professional process, from the supervisor to the dealer-principal. They actually spent more time talking about Serra and our pay plans than they did on my background. You could tell they are very proud of this large volume dealer that they built up here in Jackson TN, averaging over 300 cars a month in a fairly small market.

I talked to a bunch of upper management people, including the owner. We had a few phone calls, and then I had separate one-on-one meetings in person with different managers on different days.

I waited for over an hour to see the hiring manager. Then I had to do a long written test, which I thought I did well on. The manager then told me that the job required strong 'bullshiting' skills. I explained that as a customer-focused salesperson, I'd do what's necessary if a customer's credit is poor, but I'd also be fair and focus on building a long-term customer base. After that, I never heard back. The whole experience took about 4 hours.

I talked to the hiring manager about my background. They asked about my future goals and then explained the role and company to me. It was a pretty relaxed chat.
