We exchanged emails with HR and then I had a quick call with an engineer. They asked me about my background in engineering, specifically CAD design, electronics, and manufacturing. They also wanted to know if I understood GD&T and surface modeling, and if I had experience with electronics packaging.

Before the interview, I had to sign an NDA, so I can't share much detail about the process. The HR staff were nice and friendly. SF Motors arranged the travel and car rental, but they didn't cover my transportation to the airport or meals during the trip. I had a negative interview experience, which felt unprofessional. One interviewer, Mr. W, was unfriendly and contemptuous, questioning everything I said with arrogance. Other interviewers were nice but seemed unprepared, asking random questions based on my responses and requiring me to initiate conversation. I suggest HR provide interview training to engineers and that Mr. W improve his attitude.
