The interview process was pretty standard. They mentioned they would get back to me later about a job offer after the interview.

They checked my resume and cover letter. Then I had an in-person interview. The directors were really nice and wanted to understand me and what I could offer, and also what they could offer me.

I applied through W.I.T. and got a call for an interview about a week later. The interview was with the IT Supervisor, HR Director, and me. They asked me about my IT experience and the projects I've worked on and finished. I heard back about 4 days later on a Friday and got the job offer.

I sent my resume by email and heard back about a month later. When I got to the interview, I waited a long time, over 45 minutes, and the lobby was a mess. While I was waiting, some police showed up because of a commotion outside. Just as I was about to leave, the interviewer came to get me. She apologized for being late, but then it seemed like she was just really chatty and maybe not great with time management. The interview itself was good though, pretty laid-back but still professional. She was really open about the department's situation and had a good personality, which is important since I'd be working closely with her. About 10 minutes in, her phone rang and she found out her next interview was there, but she kept talking to me for over an hour. After that, I had a second interview with a potential coworker and a third with the Executive Director, who seemed unsure about me. A week later, I got an email saying they chose someone else but thought I was a strong candidate. Two weeks after that, the first interviewer called to say the person they hired backed out about a week after starting, and asked if I wanted the job since I was their second choice. I was considering it but also talking to another company. Then I had a phone interview with a Regional Manager, and got an offer about two business days after that.
