Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sequoia.
Consultant
I was in awe of Sequoia's process! Over the course of a few days, I met with a variety of different people within the company. Everyone was so friendly and inviting, they made me feel like I belonged there. One of the best parts of the process was that I never got asked the same questions twice. As an interviewee it can get repetitive answering the same questions, this never happened when I interviewed at Sequoia. After each interview I feel like they got to know not only me as a professional but me as an individual. By far the best interview experience I have ever had.
- Tell me about your background.
- Can you walk me through some of the projects you've worked on?
Consultant
I got in touch with Sequoia through a connection of someone who works there. There were 5 rounds of interviews in total. It included a coffee chat, a breakfast meeting, 2 interviews at their office with a few different people, and then a final interview with the CEO. The whole process felt very smooth, they got back to me quickly, and everyone I met was really nice and helpful.
- Tell me about your past experience.
- Could you share some of the innovations you've worked on?
- What are some key aspects of your personality?
Senior Consultant
There were multiple interview rounds, plus a personality assessment and a writing assessment. I talked to important people and leaders to get a feel for the company culture.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a challenging client?
