First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sentry Management.
Bookkeeper
It was easy to apply, and they mentioned I could work from home. The Manager asked if I knew about accounting debits and credits.
- Do you have any criminal records?
Administrative
It was a standard interview, mostly focused on my past work. They asked behavioral questions and wanted me to self-assess my administrative skills and rank my software proficiency. It was one interview with the hiring manager. Business casual attire was recommended, and I didn't need to wear a tie.
- How would you rate your Excel skills on a scale of 1 to 10?
Community Representative
They responded quickly to my application and scheduled the interview fast. I was told I'd hear back in 3-5 days, but it took over a week, and I had to reach out myself. They said the Board of Directors was still reviewing applications and to be patient. I replied the same day, thanking them and saying I looked forward to hearing from them. After another week, I emailed again asking about the timeline. Today, I finally got a reply saying they decided to go with fewer positions. If this is how the company operates, I'm glad I wasn't chosen.
- Can you share an example of when you exceeded expectations in your career?
Property Manager
I had three interviews, with the regional vice president and regional president. The process failed to mention anything other than exactly what I wanted to hear to get me to accept the job. They didn't mention anything about me being the 6th manager in less than a year. That the VP and President were both owners of their own companies that they bought out. I have never felt so mislead.
- What aspects of property management do you find appealing?
