First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sensor Products.
Product Manager
I interviewed face-to-face with members of the sales team and also with the CEO, on separate occasions. It was a very detailed and thoughtful interview, and they made the environment relaxed and comfortable, allowing me to speak freely.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Sales Representative
The interview process was straightforward and seemed rushed. I had two interviews back-to-back on the same day. The first was with the Director, who, despite being pleasant, appeared inexperienced with interviewing and asked basic, somewhat unusual questions. This interview led to an interview with the CEO. The CEO seemed to have very limited time, stating he only had 5 minutes. He asked about my background but left abruptly. When I asked to pose questions, he limited me to just one. Before concluding, he requested I email him a sales pitch for an item from their website. Regarding compensation, the base pay was disclosed, but details about the commission structure were unclear, with the Director admitting he wasn't sure about the specifics.
- What is a question I should have asked you?
Engineer
I only talked to the company owner, no one else from the team. It was a small place and I didn't get a office tour or meet anyone else.
- If you needed to contract with a manufacturer and couldn't use their usual process for a whole day, how would you pique their interest in partnering with us?
Marketing
I found the job on Monster and applied. They called me in for an interview pretty quickly with a few people from the company. I met them one-on-one, and it was a professional and respectful experience. The interview team was good for a small company.
