First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sensient Technologies.
Recruiter
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn for a confidential Recruiter position. We set up a video interview. The interview with the recruiter felt like an interrogation. They promised to follow up within 2 days, and they did call to discuss my candidacy. I like structure, but this felt rushed and unwelcoming. It was a bit too dry for me. I'd suggest adding more personality to the process.
- Regarding the 90-day metric for 'time to fill' each requisition, how many open requisitions do you feel you can efficiently handle?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process was really simple. First, there was a 30-minute Teams call with the recruiter. After that, I had a 1-hour in-person interview with both the Customer Service Manager and the Director. They kept me informed about what was happening next, and I felt like they really wanted me on the team even before I started.
- Can you describe how you work with other teams inside the company?
- What information do you have about our company?
Marketing Specialist
The process was pretty straightforward, with three stages in total. It kicked off with a chat with the recruiter, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager, and then I met with several department heads. The initial two discussions were done virtually, and the final stage involved an in-person meeting.
- Can you share an instance where you achieved significant success with a marketing initiative?
- Describe a situation where you leveraged data to shape your marketing approach.
- Walk me through a time you worked with the sales department on a marketing effort.
Sales Manager
I sent my CV through LinkedIn for the open position. 3 days later, a recruiter contacted me and we had two separate phone calls. In the meantime, I directly contacted the European manager on LinkedIn and let him know I was available. After a week, the recruiter informed me that my profile wasn't a perfect fit. I contacted the European manager again, and he restarted the selection process. 10 days later, I had an in-person meeting in Paris for the first interview, which went well. Over the next month, I had 4 video calls with US executives. The process was completed successfully.
- Can you give examples of successful projects you've completed?
- What is the average time to complete a sales project?
