It was a mix of technical questions to check my basic job knowledge and conversational questions to see if I was a personality fit. They asked more about my background than live test questions. The hiring manager seemed interested in moving forward at the end, but then they ghosted me. I didn't get any message saying I was rejected or that they were pursuing other candidates. They also didn't respond to my follow-up messages.

Behavioral Technical

I went through three interviews in half a day. First, I talked with a second-level manager about my behavior and past experiences. Then, I had interviews with two first-level managers who asked technical and reasoning questions, involving complex problem-solving. Because I had previous experience, the interviews were more technical, which I enjoyed. The whole process, from start to finish, took about two weeks. HR was good with communication, but my main issue was the offer with only a week to decide, which felt too short since other companies were also interested. I tried to negotiate a higher offer, but Sensata wouldn't change their mind. Looking back, I probably should have declined. Sensata seems to have made up for it since then, though. Generally, it's better to negotiate a high starting salary, as companies tend to value employees less once they've accepted a position.

I first met Sensata at my college career fair and dropped off my resume. They got back to me about four business days later and set up an on-campus interview for two business days after that. The interview itself was only thirty minutes, and we mostly just talked about my resume and personal projects, and how my skills matched what they were looking for. We also touched on how the sensors they make at Sensata work and function.
