Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sendero.
Associate Consultant
I applied through their website. The whole thing took about a month. First, there was an HR screening call, then a virtual first round, and finally, an in-person final round. They were upfront about the salary range from the start, which was nice. HR was really good at keeping in touch and answering my questions throughout. Both interviews were pretty standard, just asking about my past experiences. They really wanted to hear about examples using the STAR method and would ask more questions based on what I said. Overall, it was a pretty straightforward and well-organized process.
- Describe an instance where you took the initiative to do something outside your job scope.
- Can you share a situation where you depended on others to achieve a goal?
- Tell me about a time you had to make a decision that wasn't popular.
Management Consulting
I had a phone interview that went really well. Then, I was invited to a 2-hour virtual interview the following week with two interviewers. It was all behavioral questions with lots of follow-ups. After that, I got a call for a third and final in-person interview. Before the interview, the interviewer gave me a tour of the office. I felt good about it afterward, but it turns out I didn't get the role.
- Can you share an instance where you proposed a change?
- Tell me about a time you recommended a change.
Consulting Manager
Sendero uses a behavior based question interview tactic that is both enlightening to the interviewer and allows the interviewee to see the company culture. Depending on what level you apply for. There are three rounds of behavior based questions with different interviewers & then a case study to complete the interview.
- Can you share an instance where you undertook a task outside your defined responsibilities?
